ESY Preschool Special Education Teachers
Summer Program: July 6-August 6, 2026
4 days (Monday - Thursday), 8:45AM - 12:15PM

 

Qualifications:

  • Massachusetts licensure in one of the following areas: Early Childhood-Students with and without Disabilities PreK-2, Moderate Disabilities PreK-2, or Intensive/Severe Disabilities All Levels
  • Demonstrated experience as an inclusion special education teacher or as a special education teacher of a substantially separate program. 
  • Such other alternatives as the Director of Student Services may deem acceptable and appropriate.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as lead teacher providing direct instruction to students with Special Education in accordance with their IEPs.
  • Work in concert with other Special Education staff, related services providers, specialists, and administrative personnel to develop and implement viable extended year programming for special education students.
  • Complete progress reports, behavior support plans, communication logs, data sheets, and other data as required by local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Work with teaching assistants to facilitate programming for the students.
  • Participate in staff meetings as needed, providing updates and advice to the team, including parents and guardians.  Work collaboratively with the ESY Coordinator and colleagues to provide effective student support.
  • Such other responsibilities may from time to time be assigned by the Director of Student Services and the Extended School Year Coordinator. 

 Salary: In accordance with FEA contract
