Hours: 4.25 M,T,Th,F and 3 W
Salary: $22.15 - $23.49
Purpose: Provide safe and caring supervision of students on the playground, in the cafeteria, or on campus during non-class time so that the safety and wellbeing of all students is ensured.
Essential Functions:
I. Monitor and supervise students before, during, and after school as needed to ensure their safety.
2. Provide student support and guidance with a positive attitude.
3. Understand and adhere to school rules regarding student expectations and behavior.
4. Report and document any incidents as soon as possible to ensure proper follow up.
5. Check and monitor play equipment as needed for playgrounds.
6. Supervise the safe arrival and departure of students.
7. Provide first aid services in a medical emergency.
8. Provide other supports for teachers and other staff as needed and as time allows.
8. Other related duties as assigned to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment for students, staff, and the community.

Professional Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Experience working with children, preferably in an educational environment.
3. Acquire and maintain current first aid and CPR certification.
4. Basic computer skills to include use of MS Office software.
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:
1. Stand for long periods of time.
2. Stoop, bend, walk, run.
3. Work in noisy environments.
4. Physically assist students.
5. Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
6. Work outdoors in all types of weather.
Benefits:
School Employee Benefit Board (SEBB) Eligibility determination: All eligibility determinations are based on rules in Chapters 182-30 and 182-31 of the Washington Administrative Code (WAC). If the position is anticipated to work a minimum of 630 hours in a school year, then that position would be deemed benefit eligible. SEBB benefits include medical, vision, dental, long-term disability and life insurance. Supplemental coverages are also available.
Retirement Eligibility determination: A certificated position participates in the Teacher Retirement System (TRS) which requires at least 5 months of 70 or more hours of compensated employment during a school year to be eligible for Washington State Retirement. A classified position participates in the School Employee Retirement System (SERS) if the position is expected to require at least 5 months of 70 hours or more for two consecutive years (initially) of employment.
