High School Part-Time Extracurricular PCA/Paraprofessional - After School

**This position requires an individual with flexibility based on extra-curricular schedule and student participation. 
Marching band practice on Wednesday's from 6:00p-9:00p until mid July.
The week of Jully 22 will includes practices on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays. 
Band Camp runs from July 28 through August 7, with daily practices lasting 8 hours. 
After band camp, rehearsals continue every Monday and Wednesday evening from 6p-9p, along with weekend football games and competitions. 

TITLE: Personal Care Assistant (PCA)/Paraprofessional - Extracurricular

QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance 

• High School diploma required 
• Meet one of the paraprofessional competency training requirements below:
  • two years of post-secondary education coursework (48 college credits) or
  • Highly Qualified Special Education Certificate through PDE or
  • passing score on the Comprehensive Assessment of Paraprofessional Educators (CAPE) Test or
  • posses the ability to obtain highly qualified status through educational opportunities provided within the timeline of the district
• Prior experience working with students with disabilities
• Must have obtained (or will obtain) valid PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Criminal History Background Checks (use code 1KG6XN) within the last twelve (12) months.

REPORTS TO: Building Principal or designee 

GOALS: To provide one-on-one student assistance to maintain appropriate and equitable participation in extracurricular activities

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Part time, after school or evening hours based on student need and participation. Must be flexible depending on changes to activity schedule and student participation. Hourly pay and other conditions of employment in accordance with current District applicable policies and the York Suburban Educational Support Personnel agreement.
