Position: Special Education Teacher
Responsible To: Principal & Special Services Coordinator
For Whom/What Responsible: The overall development of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for all students they case manager and the education program for students to which they are assigned.
Qualifications: Missouri certification in one or a combination of the following areas: Mild-moderate disabilities (includes LD, BD/ED, MR and OHI certifications) hearing impaired, visually impaired or severe developmental disabilities.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Primary Responsibilities: To provide specialized instruction and coordination of special education services for individual students with disabilities.
Essential Job Functions:
Term of Employment: Nine and one half months. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.
Evaluation: The evaluation is conducted by the building principal and the special services coordinator according to board policy and the Concordia R-II adopted model of the performance based evaluation.
