Instructional Paraprofessional

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to support the educational needs of students at JPS Hunt Elementary. The Instructional Paraprofessional will work closely with teachers and students to enhance the learning environment and provide personalized assistance to students in various academic settings. This part-time position is ideal for someone passionate about education and committed to fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all learners.

Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in various subjects, reinforcing concepts and skills.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
- Help prepare instructional materials and classroom resources.
- Assist with classroom management and ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
- Support students with special needs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student records and personal information.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to promote student success.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology.
- Must pass background check and any required training or certification.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings and afternoons.
