POSITION TITLE: Learning Support/Emotional Support Special Education Teacher
REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Director of Special Education
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 Teacher Contract, prorated for 2024-2025
QUALIFICATIONS:
- PA Special Education Certification required
- Highly Qualified Teacher
- Understanding of: Applied Behavioral Analysis, Functional Behavioral Assessment, and Positive
Behavioral Support Plans
- Experience with Learning Support, Emotional Support and Autistic Support population
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Completion of IEP and Reevaluation documentation
- Develop and implement Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP)
- Ability to provide small group social skills instruction
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to collaborate with staff across building setting, Behavior Specialist, and administrators
- Ability to develop individualized student goals based on needs identified in the Evauation/Reevaluation Report
- Ability to Progress Monitor social, emotional, and academic goals
- Provide small/large group instruction
- Collaboration and support provided to team regarding student academic, functional, and behavior progress
