Long Term Substitute - Special Education Teacher

Lake Park High School is hiring for the position of Long-Term Substitute - Special Education Teacher from 4/23/26 to 5/29/26.

QUALIFICATIONS:           

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
• Proper licensure required
• Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS I) Endorsement preferred
• ESL endorsement preferred
• Experience preferred
• Proficient with PCs, tablets, and other mobile electronic devices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and cloud-based applications
• Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
• Demonstrated aptitude as a self-starter who works with minimal supervision
• Effective interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills
• Effective communication, human relations, and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Special Education substitute teacher will serve the District in the same capacity as a Special Education classroom teacher, working five periods/day, including case management responsibilities.

SALARY/RATE: Daily rate of $348.49 per the 2025-2026 Substitute Rate & Long-Term Substitute Rate structure.
