LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER
West Springfield Middle School
This position of Long Term Substitute Special Education Teacher will be responsible for providing explicit interventions for students identified with special needs. The servicing of these students will take place in the regular education classroom or may be provided during an Academic Support class which the teacher will run. The Special Education teacher is responsible for a caseload of students and will be responsible for updating the IEP, writing progress notes and providing general case management. The applicant will need good communication skills as they will be communicating with teachers, parents and other service providers.
Qualifications:
-Moderate Disabilities 5-8 DESE certification
-SEI Endorsement
Assignment begins approximately March 10, 2026.
Salary Range: $130.00/day - $160.00/day
