Summary:
We are seeking a full-time LRE Paraprofessional to join our team at Berrien Springs High School. The ideal candidate should have a passion for working with students with disabilities and be able to provide support to the teacher in delivering instruction to students in a least restrictive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the teacher with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Support students with disabilities in the general education classroom by modifying assignments and providing accommodations as needed.
- Work with small groups of students to provide additional instruction and support.
- Assist with behavior management strategies and provide positive reinforcement to students.
- Collaborate with the teacher and other team members to ensure student success.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other team members.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with physical needs of students as needed.
- Must pass a background check.
Start Date: January 5, 2026
Hours: 35 Hrs per week
Pay: $16.68 - $20.46 Based on experience
