Position Summary
Parker Academy is seeking a full-time Middle School Special Education Teacher to join our team. This is a teaching position in which the teacher is responsible for delivering core academic instruction to small groups of middle school students in a therapeutic special education setting, with flexibility to occasionally teach high school students as needed. Teachers at Parker design and deliver instruction across core subjects, collaborate closely with colleagues and clinicians, and build strong relationships that support both academic growth and emotional regulation.
While the required credentials are essential, they are not enough on their own. We are looking for patient, creative, and thoughtful educators who understand that meaningful learning often happens through movement, hands-on experiences, and genuine connection. Our students need instruction that is engaging, flexible, and responsive—not rigid or one-size-fits-all. This is not a traditional classroom teaching role. If your teaching involves creativity, humor, adaptability, and meeting students where they are, we want to hear from you. In your application, tell us what makes you and your teaching approach unique. How do you engage students who have struggled with school, resisted learning, or need something different in order to succeed?
