    PAY
              Certified Substitute Teacher - $ 16.50 per hour
                     *If a Certified Substitute Teacher substitutes twenty consecutive days in the same assignment, the pay increases to $24.75 per hour beginning with the twenty-first consecutive day in that same assignment.
              Non-Certified Substitute Teacher - $ 12.50 per hour
              Teacher Assistant/Paraprofessional Substitute - $12.00 per hour
              Clerical Substitute - $12.00 per hour
     
     All substitutes must have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). 

    SUBSTITUTE TEACHER JOB DUTIES
    • Follow lesson plans provided by the regular Teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students
    • Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment
    • Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of each individual student
    • Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls, on the playground and in the cafeteria
    • Provide in-class and at-home assignments based on the available lesson plan

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Required
    • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
    • Ability to work cooperatively with others, demonstrate self-discipline and initiative, and follow state and district guidelines
    • As a condition of employment, each prospective substitute must pass a National Criminal History Record Check (NCHRC).
     
    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
    • To be considered a Certified Substitute Teacher, you must have a valid OKLAHOMA Teaching Certificate
