    Position:  Paraprofessional - 2 Positions
    Location: Prairie Winds Elementary School
    Work Year: 155 Days, 8 hours per day
    Salary Range:  $17.38-$45.28 ($17.38-$25.68 for external candidates based on experience and education)  
    FLSA Classification: Non-exempt 
     
    Job Summary: 
    The paraprofessional is responsible for assisting students with a wide variety of needs by providing any combination of the following: individualized academic, behavioral, functional life skills and/or social-emotional instruction; medical/health care, feeding and/or hygiene supports; and student assistance with learning, mobility, emotional regulation, health care, and/or communication.

    Qualifications:  
    Required:

    High School Diploma or GED

    Required:
    Must be Highly Qualified (Highly Qualified is defined as having 48 credit hours from an accredited college or university, having successfully passed the Work Keys Test or Praxis Test for Paraprofessionals OR having an Associates Degree or higher).   Work Keys testing is available through the Work Force Center in Pueblo or Pikes Peak BOCES.
                                                                
    Preferred:
    AA or BA Degree

    Condition of Employment:   Applicants must be willing to participate in District No. 70 Payroll Direct Deposit Program. All hires will complete a background check.
