Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team at JPS Sharp Park Elementary as a Paraprofessional. This part-time position offers the opportunity to support students with diverse needs in a dynamic educational environment. The ideal candidate will assist teachers in providing a positive learning experience, fostering academic and social growth among students.

Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
- Support students with special needs, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and necessary resources.
- Monitor and supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and other school events.
- Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to reinforce learning concepts.
- Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
- Assist with the preparation of instructional materials and classroom organization.
- Document student progress and communicate observations to teachers and staff.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and collaborate with team members.
- Uphold school policies and procedures, promoting a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to changing classroom environments.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support student learning and development.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology.
- Must pass background checks and any required screenings as per school district policies.
