    Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 serves nearly 14,000 students in preschool through grade 12 and is located halfway between Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan. Our District has one early learning center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools and a high school program divided between two 9 – 12th  grade campuses. The District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park and Park City.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    The drivers education paraprofessional will be directly responsible to the Director for Bilingual and Multicultural Education. 

    Responsibilities:  
    1. Support classroom language instruction for Newcomers and bilingual students under the guidance of a certified teacher (drivers education)
    2. Obtain and maintain certification for a paraprofessional through the Regional Office of Education
    3. Perform instructional interventions under the guidance of a certified teacher to support bilingual students

    Requirements: Paraprofessional License
