Position: Paraprofessional (Multiple Positions)

Location:  Bath Elementary School

Start Date:  2025-2026 School Year

Salary: per Bath Aides Master Agreement, dependent upon experience and educational attainment. 

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred. 
• Competency in student management and supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with students, staff and parents

Essential Functions

• Assists teachers in routine classroom operation.
• Understands various levels of student support.
• Successful implementation of academic and behavioral support plans.
• Demonstrates initiative and creativity with students and their program.
• Maintains classroom including preparing bulletin boards.
• Keeps records, writes lessons on the board, and corrects student's work.
• Loads/unloads wheelchair bound students on the bus.
• Manages and instructs small groups of students when the teacher is not available.
• Participates in physical activities which are a part of the students' basic program.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  

Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to staff, parents, students and administrators. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
