POSITION TITLE:         Paraprofessional - Gifted EER

FLSA:                            Non-Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:       60 College Credit Hours or Paraprofessional Praxis 

REPORTS TO:               Principal and/or other Supervisor

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • A demonstrated ability to work effectively under the direction of others.
  • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to organize, be flexible and motivate others.
  • Ability to utilize mature and discreet judgment and handle confidential matters.
  • Willingness to assume any responsibilities, which are appropriate for the position

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:   

  • Must work under the direct supervision of coordinating teacher when providing instructional services.
  • May provide one on one tutoring for eligible students, if the tutoring is provided at a time when the student would not otherwise receive instruction from a teacher.
  • May assume limited duties that are assigned to similar personnel, including duties beyond classroom instruction.
  • Assist students to complete instructional activities.
  • Assist in the supervision of students as required to meet individual needs.
  • Participate in training activities as required by the District.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Federal Programs, principal or supervising teacher, which are related to facilitating success.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
