Position Overview:
Windham Academy is seeking a caring, reliable, and energetic Short-Term Substitute Paraprofessional to support our Kindergarten classroom. This individual will work closely with the classroom teacher to assist students with daily routines, learning activities, and classroom management.

Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting the lead teacher with classroom activities and instruction

• Assisting students individually or in small groups with academic and social-emotional tasks

• Helping to maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment

• Providing supervision during transitions, lunch, recess, and other non-instructional times

• Collaborating with staff to ensure continuity and support for all students

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working with young children or in an educational setting preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree a plus

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing attitude

• Ability to follow teacher and school procedures effectively
