    Description
    We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated One-to-One Paraprofessional to support an elementary student with specialized needs. This position involves working closely with a single student throughout the school day, providing assistance with daily academic activities, mobility, personal hygiene, and other essential tasks.

    Minimum Qualifications
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Eligible to hold a GaPSC issued paraprofessional certificate
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience working with students with special needs
    • Hold a GaPSC issued paraprofessional certificate
     

    Key Responsibilities

     
    • Provide individualized support and supervision to a designated student in both classroom and non-classroom settings.
    • Assist with toileting, diapering, and maintaining hygiene routines with dignity and respect.
    • Support physical needs, including lifting, positioning, and transitioning between equipment or locations, following safety protocols.
    • Reinforce instructional activities under the direction of the classroom teacher and support student engagement.
    • Monitor and promote student safety and well-being at all times.
    • Other tasks as assigned by school administration.
    Working Conditions
    • Work is performed in a standard in-person classroom setting 
    • Regularly involves standing, speaking, and interacting with students, parents, and colleagues
    • Requires lifting and carrying
    • Requires the ability to use classroom technology, including projectors, computers, and learning management systems
    • Regular work hours are during the school day, with occasional evening or weekend commitments for parent-teacher conferences, school events, or professional development
    • Must be adaptable to varying student needs and class sizes

    Employment Terms:
    • 190 Work Calendar
    • Annual Salary based on degree level and previous years of experience in a similar role
    • Salary Range $ 23,380 - $ 32,363
