Reports To:  Assigned Supervisor

 

General Summary:  A Student Intern is a Warsaw Community High School Student who is placed in a work-based or experience-based position as part of their educational programming.  Students are placed in positions intended to provide practical, work-based experiences where they are able to apply and develop their knowledge and skills.  Placements are coordinated between WCHS and the work-based organizations or departments who will be supervising students' experiences.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform work-based duties as assigned.
  • Acquire practical knowledge and skills associated with the position.
  • Maintain a respectful, positive attitude towards supervisors, coworkers, customers, and others associated with the position.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Determined by WCHS and the work-based organization or department who will be supervising the student's experience.

Conditions of Placement:

  • The length of placement and work schedule will be determined by WCHS and the work-based organization or department who will be supervising the student's experience.
  • If the internship is to be paid, compensation will be determined by WCHS and the work-based organization or department who will be supervising the student's experience.
