PARAPROFESSIONAL REPORTS TO: Assigned School Building Administration PAY TYPE: Hourly, Non-Exempt, Classified, Non-Supervisory PAY RATE: Starting at $15 / hr., with potential for increases based on experience BENEFITS: Eligible for benefits depending on hours worked (see attachment for details) SCHEDULE: Full & Part-time; Up to 7.5 hrs. / day; Up to 186 paid days / year; Follows school calendar

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides instructional support to individual students or small groups under the direction of a supervising teacher
Collaborates with teachers and staff to enhance students’ educational experience
Implements students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as directed
Other duties as assigned
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education, Training, and Experience Required:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
Minimum Education Requirement (one of the following):
Completion of at least two years (60 course credits) of college-level coursework
An associate degree or higher
A passing score on the ParaPro Assessment
Prior experience in schools or child care
Previous experience working with individuals with special needs
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, counselors, parents, and other professionals
Excellent dependability and punctuality
Positive and enthusiastic attitude
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works indoors in a school environment
May work in close proximity to students and staff
Occasionally exposed to noise levels typical in school settings
