The Dallastown Area School District seeks to fill the following Part-Time 10-Month Paraprofessional position(s) at Ore Valley Elementary School (Grades K-3). You'll play a valuable role in inspiring and creating pathways for student success by supporting teachers in the delivery of supports and services for students as referenced below:
Classroom - 5.50 working hours and a half-hour unpaid lunch, ranging from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM to 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Work Schedule / Pay Periods for 10-Month Positions:
Your work schedule will follow student attendance full and half days during the school year -- approximately 177 student days mid-August through early June. -- with full-day hours listed above. Additional days may be arranged by your supervisor.
While there are typically no pay periods July through August, you'll enjoy summers off to spend more time with your family!
For a full school year, your bi-weekly pays will typically begin by mid-September and continue through late-June.

Minimum Qualifications:
Regular Education: Library and Classroom Paraprofessionals - High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Special Education: *Learning Support Paraprofessional for students with IEP's...
Highly Qualified = High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) AND completion of an assessment through our special education department,
OR, Completed at least two years of postsecondary study (48 credit hours or more)
OR, Associate’s Degree or higher,
Completion of at least 20 hours of staff development activities related to assignment each school year
Child-centered, warm, and receptive to children
Ability to carry out oral and written communications/instructions and work cooperatively with others
Acceptable record of attendance
Responsibilities:
Working one-on-one or with small groups of students as directed by the teacher
Aiding in supervision of students in both the classroom and the cafeteria
Assisting teachers in presentation and development of learning materials and instructional exercises
Performing routine clerical work
Working with instructional media, office machines, and equipment
