Part Time Paraprofessional Tutor

Reports to: Director of Academic Support

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Hourly Rate: $14.00

This position is open until filled. 

 

*This position requires the candidate to obtain the PA Child Abuse, PA State Police, and FBI Fingerprinting clearances prior to their start date.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide tutor assistance in subject areas in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Maintain scheduled working hours.
  • Develop and nurture rapport with students, peers, and faculty.
  • Attend in-service activities to comply with certification requirements (e.g. training, meetings, etc.) before and/or during semesters.
  • Review learning materials to be able to recommend them to students.
  • Complete and submit all required tutor tracking documentation and time entry.
  • Adhere to all policies detailed in the Tutor Manual.
  • Represent Tutorial Services, as needed, at classroom visits, campus resource fairs, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of at least 60 credits from accredited institution of higher education
  • Cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher
  • Grade of A or B in any course tutored
  • Two professional recommendations (can be faculty recommendations)
