Resurgence Hall Charter School is seeking experienced, certified special educators who are interested in returning to the profession in a part-time capacity. This role is ideal for retired Georgia educators who hold a valid Special Education certification and want to continue serving scholars without the demands of a full-time schedule.

Responsibilities
Provide small-group and one-on-one instructional support for scholars with IEPs in reading, writing, and/or math
Implement accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies aligned to each scholar’s IEP
Support progress monitoring through curriculum-based measures, work samples, and assessment data
Assist in reteach or intervention planning as needed based on scholar performance
Partner with the case manager to maintain accurate documentation in GO-IEP and school platforms
Collect and submit progress monitoring data for IEP progress reports
Attend IEP meetings as needed (virtual or on-site as available)
Communicate regularly with families regarding scholar progress in collaboration with the case manager
Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure scholars receive required supports in all settings
Participate in limited team meetings or professional learning aligned to part-time schedule
Provide occasional class coverage or scholar supervision only as aligned to the 19-hour weekly maximum
Perform other duties, as deemed appropriate, by the Director of Culture & Instruction
Qualifications/Certification- All candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree; a Master’s degree is a plus. All candidates must hold a valid Georgia Special Education certification (or retired certificate still eligible under GaPSC rules).
Prior Experience- At least 2 years of full-time teaching experience in special education at the elementary or middle school level and a demonstrated ability to raise achievement levels of traditionally underserved students highly preferred. Sense of humility, urgency, and interest in growing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Schedule - 19 hours per week in alignment with TRS Part-Time Return-to-Work guidelines.
