Job Description

Children’s Learning Connection (CLC) of Orange County, CA offers speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and ABA therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disorders. We have three Orange Locations including Fountain Valley, Orange, and Laguna Hills. We offer competitive salaries, paid holiday and vacation, CEU reimbursement, medical/dental/vision and 401K plans. Part-Time Physical Therapist needed to be responsible for pediatric assessments, consultations, and therapies in the clinic setting. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, with heavy emphasis on collaborative care. Large Early Intervention caseload. Serving Orange County children and families with therapy services for over 15 years!

Schedule: 1-2 days weekly, flexible schedule

Responsibilities

1. Assess, consult, plan and conduct treatment for pediatric clients and their families

2. Continuously evaluate client needs, plan and problem solve in order to help each client reach his or her potential

3. Communicate and collaborate with other professionals, paraprofessionals, and parents in order to provide an effective program

4. Supervise appropriate staff effectively within scope of practice (e.g., DSPs)

5. Document all consultation and treatment sessions on a daily basis, as well as provide appropriate documentation to interdisciplinary team

6. Provide assessment, progress and discharge reports in a timely manner

7. Maintain client files and treatment logs in an organized manner to include as well as provide appropriate documentation to interdisciplinary team

8. Communicate with Directors regarding any changes in status, problems, or intent to change any aspect of services already in place; and, to discuss same with Directors prior to discussing with client’s family or referral source

9. Attend and participate in meetings as required (e.g., Clinical staff meetings, team meetings, IEP/IFSP meetings).

10.Develop instructional materials, and evaluate commercially produced materials for use in treatment

11.Keep current on latest developments in field of physical therapy by attending professional seminars, reading current literature, and participating in professional organizations.

12.Plan, coordinate and conduct in-service trainings for staff

13.Keep careful record of billable hours which will require parent signature

14.Perform other related duties as assigned

Education/Training: Master’s Degree or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy

Certifications/Licenses: Valid CA PT license

Experience: 2-5 years of experience in pediatrics

2. Must pass a background and reference check
