Whitmore Lake Public Schools serves approximately 800 students in preschool-12th grade and their families in Whitmore Lake and the surrounding area. Whitmore Lake Preschool and Kids Club programs are programs of the Early Childhood Center, and the elementary school, located at the Whitmore Lake Elementary School. SALARY and FTE: 

Per the paraprofessional contract: Step 1 at $17.51 per hour

School Year position

8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (40 hours per week)

WHAT WE NEED: 

An individual who can work as a team, with the classroom teachers and Kids Club team, with preschool-school-aged children in classroom settings. This position may work in both the before and after school Kids Club program and provide breaks to classroom staff. Ability to follow all school district, licensing, Great Start to Quality and Early Childhood Standards.

Seeking an individual with experience:

• Working with children ages 3-11 years old and their families in a classroom setting.
• Working as a team with classroom teachers, Kids Club staff, school staff, families and the community.
• Ability to take direction, work in a variety of classrooms and programs, and follow solid early childhood and before-school practices.
• Strong communication skills with an ability to take direction and follow through with needed trainings and professional development as required.  

WHAT YOU NEED: 

High school diploma with experience working with children in an educational setting.
