Century School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Reading Interventionist Paraprofessional at Century Upper Elementary School, grades 3-6. This full-time position is designed for someone who is passionate about supporting students in developing their reading skills and fostering a love for learning. The Reading Interventionist Paraprofessional will work closely with teachers and students to implement effective reading interventions and strategies, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed.

Monday through Friday, 7:45am - 3:15 pm

Responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher in implementing reading intervention programs tailored to meet the needs of individual students.
- Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students who require additional support in reading.
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records of student performance and growth.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop instructional materials and activities that promote literacy skills.
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and motivation.
- Communicate regularly with teachers and parents regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to literacy instruction.
- Support students in developing effective reading strategies and comprehension skills.
- Assist with classroom management and organization to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of reading development and effective intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and parents.
- Ability to motivate and engage students in their learning.
- Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards working with diverse learners.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software to support reading instruction.
- Certification or training in reading intervention strategies is a plus.

- Must pass a background check and comply with all school district policies and regulations.
