Reading Specialist - Long Term Sub

There are three full-time, long-term substitute positions available for the 25-26 school year.  They will all have elementary responsibilities while one will be a shared position between an elementary building (.4) and the middle school (.6) (primarily 6th graders)

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement instructional reading program for 1st – 5^th grade school students
• Provide small group literacy instruction to select students as identified through data-informed processes.

• Analyze data to create skill-based literacy instructional strategies and modifications.

• Provide literacy support to core area teachers through planning guidance and/or co-

  teaching.

• Attend team and grade level meetings to directly support teachers AND meetings with

  principals and directors to support math learning initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Ability to relate and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II Reading Specialist Certificate
• Prior experience preferred
