    Qualifications:
    NJ Teacher of the Handicapped Certification 
    OR NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities AND NJ Elementary School Teacher K-5 Certification
    Knowledge and experience with NJ Core Curriculum 
    Demonstrates the ability to implement NJ Model Curriculum 
    Effective communication and collaboration skills 
    Strong classroom management skills and experience with positive behavior interventions 
    Position for Grades 3-5

    Replacement Substitute Teacher Assignment on or about March 1, 2026 through on or about April 10, 2026.


    All alternate route candidates ("Certificate of Eligibility) must show completion of 50 hours of pre-service training through a DOE approved CE educator program prior to being interviewed for a position. The certificate of completion must be uploaded into the AppliTrack portal in order for alternate route candidates to be considered.     *In accordance with S-414/A-3188 (http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2018/Bills/S0500/414_R2.HTM), school districts, charter schools, nonpublic schools, and contracted service providers ("employers") are required to review the last twenty years of employment history of prospective employees to ascertain allegations of child abuse or sexual misconduct. It explicitly prohibits such employers from hiring a person serving in a position which involves regular contact with students unless the employer conducts a review of the employment history of the applicant by contacting former and current employers and requesting information regarding child abuse and sexual misconduct allegations.
