Wood Dale School District 7 is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Self-Contained Special Education Teacher to serve students in grades K�2. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student
- Provide differentiated, standards-aligned instruction in literacy, math, and social-emotional learning
- Use data to inform instruction and monitor student progress toward IEP goals
- Implement positive behavior supports and individualized behavior intervention plans
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Foster a structured, safe, and engaging classroom environment that promotes independence and growth
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional learning communities, and ongoing professional development
- Demonstrated ability to support diverse learners in a self-contained setting
- Strong classroom leadership, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement
ESL Endorsement required or willingness to obtain within a specific timeframe
