  •   Effective mid- to late-September 2025, the Dallastown Area School District has an anticipated vacancy for a Full-Time, 10-Month Therapeutic Emotional Support (TES) Paraprofessional for the Hgih School (Grades 9-12) who will play a valuable role in inspiring and creating pathways for student success by supporting a special education teacher in the delivery of supports and services for students with IEPs.

    Responsibilities:
    • Able to carry out oral and written instructions including those in the student's IEP to allow access to the educational environment.
    • Assisting teachers in presentation and development of learning materials and instructional exercises
    • Performing routine clerical work
    • Working with instructional media, office machines, and equipment
    Work Schedule / Pay Periods for 10-Month Positions:
    • Full-day hours: 7:15 AM - 3:15 PM, which is 7.50 working hours and a 30-minute unpaid lunch period.
    • Your work schedule and pay will follow student attendance full and half days during the school year -- approximately 177 student days mid-August through early June.  Additional days may be arranged by your supervisor. 
    • While there are typically no pay periods July through August, you'll enjoy summers off to spend more time with your family! 
    • For a full school year, your bi-weekly pays will typically begin by mid-September and continue through late-June.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Highly Qualified = High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) AND completion of an assessment through our special educaton department,
      • OR, Completed at least two years of postsecondary study (48 credit hours or more)
      • OR, Associate’s Degree or higher,  
    • Completion of at least 20 hours of staff development activities related to assignment each school year
    • Child-centered, warm, and receptive to children
    • Ability to carry out oral and written communications/instructions and work cooperatively with others
    • Acceptable record of attendance
