ASU Prep Phoenix is seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to support students in grades 7–12 using a push-in/pull-out model focused primarily on math. You'll work in a collaborative, inclusive environment alongside co-teachers, aides, and related service providers to ensure every student receives the support they need to succeed. This is a full school-year opportunity through May 27, 2026.
What You’ll Do
- Provide push-in and pull-out support to high school students, primarily in math, within inclusive and resource settings
- Deliver instruction aligned with IEP goals and academic standards for students with a range of needs (mild to moderate, ED, autism – to be confirmed)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service staff to adapt lessons and provide targeted support
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
- Support inclusive classroom practices while managing a caseload of students across grades 7–12
- Participate in professional development and contribute to a supportive team environment
Experience You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate in Special Education
- Current AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Previous classroom or student teaching experience
- Ability to modify instruction and work collaboratively across disciplines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with IEP development and progress monitoring preferred
