    Job Summary

     

    Waubun-Ogema-White Earth School District is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to support students in a variety of classroom settings. Under the direction of licensed staff, this role involves working directly with students to reinforce instruction, assist with classroom routines, and promote a safe and positive learning environment. Assignments are based on student needs and may vary by program or grade level.

     

    Key Responsibilities

     
    • Provide one-on-one or small group academic support

    • Assist students with completing classwork, tests, and assignments

    • Report concerns about academic progress, behavior, or student needs

    • Supervise students during lunch, breaks, and school activities

    • Encourage respectful behavior and positive peer interactions

    • Support the implementation of student accommodations and modifications

    • Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development

    • Prepare instructional materials and support classroom organization

    • Collaborate with teachers and staff to meet student goals

    • Maintain confidentiality and follow ethical practices

    • Perform additional duties as assigned to support student success

    • Flexibility to adapt to changing classroom needs

    • Basic computer skills (Google Suite, Microsoft Office preferred)

    • Ability to support behavioral needs and maintain classroom structure

    • Sensitivity to student emotional, social, and academic development

    • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and discretion

     

    Working Conditions

     
    • May involve physical activity including lifting, bending, kneeling, or standing for extended periods

    • Requires fine motor skills and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs

    • Some exposure to noise, cleaning products, and outdoor environments

     

    Minimum Qualifications

     
    • High school diploma or equivalent

    • Ability to pass the paraprofessional proficiency exam

    • Experience working with students preferred but not required
