We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to work every other day with a high school student with a physical disability.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the student with navigating the school and accessing academic materials.
• Support transfers in and out of a wheelchair.
• Monitor health needs, including checking blood pressure.
• Provide additional assistance as needed to support the student’s learning and daily activities.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks as required.

This position does not require a license, however, some of our paraprofessional positions require candidates to be considered "highly qualified" under the Code of Federal Regulations.

This status requires: 1) At least two years of college credits through an accredited institution of higher education; or 2) An associate's or higher degree; or 3) A passing score on a valid and reliable formal assessment demonstrating the knowledge and ability to assist with instruction in reading/language arts, writing, mathematics or readiness for each.

Compensation:  $21.70 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
