Special Education Paraprofessional - 5.5 hours per day

Job Summary:
Assist the special education teacher as directed. Encourage student success by following IEP goals and accommodations in the regular education classroom as well as the behavior classroom. The willingness to attend classes or trainings to increase the understanding of Emotional Disorders. Ability to complete Medicaid detailed sheets as necessary. A passion for working with struggling students with a kind, compassionate, and caring attitude.  

Requires two years of college, an AA degree, or successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment (Praxis Exam).
Must be willing to become MANDT trained at the first available training after becoming employed by Twin Falls School District.

This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. Starting Salary Range:  $16.56+ per hour depending on experience
 

Employment is contingent upon board approval and successful completion of federal background check and drug-free workplace pre-employment screening.
