MANDATORY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - 60 college credit hours or associate degree required
- DESE Substitute certification or pass Parapro Praxis required
- Experience working as a paraprofessional preferred
- ABA and /or Mandt (CPI) Certification or willingness to participate in training opportunities preferred
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Works cooperatively in a team approach in regard to the needs of students
- Helps students find appropriate ways of expressing and dealing with their feelings
- Follows the instructions of the teacher in working with individual students or small groups
- Provides a safe and positive environment for students
- Adheres to confidentiality policies
- Responds to the needs of students, parents, and staff
- Accepts direction, supervision, and constructive criticism
- Handles multiple responsibilities with little supervision
- Solves problems independently and effectively
- Senses when an issue is beyond the scope of this position and requires the supervisor’s attention
- Helps with daily routines: Bathroom, Regular education classes, Library, Computer Lab, Recess, Lunch, Nurse, and Medication
- Helps supervise arrival and departure of students
- Accepts additional responsibility willingly
- Other duties as may be assigned by building administrator or DSE

TERMS: Full-time with benefits; $17.71+ per hour for 60 hrs/sub cert. or $18.89+ per hour for bachelor’s with possible steps for experience
EFFECTIVE: 2025-2026 school year
SCREENING TO BEGIN: Immediately; open until filled
CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt
Recommendation to be given at the August 2025 Board of Education meeting.
