Special Education Paraprofessional - SEBS

SPECIAL EDUCATION PARAPROFESSIONAL
FAUSEY ELEMENTARY

Duties:
*Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning
*Alert the teacher of any problems or special information about students
*Participate in in-service training programs, as assigned
*Guide independent study, enrichment work and remedial work assigned by the teacher
*Relate to students within the classroom in a manner consistent with the teacher's philosophy in the area of discipline
and instruction
*Other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or 48 college credits attained or Workkeys
- Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
- Such alternatives found to be appropriate
- Experience working with children who have social, emotional, and behavioral disabilities a plus.
- Experience with deescalation strategies preferred.

Salary: To commensurate with the West Springfield Paraprofessional (Unit D) contract (salary range: $17.67/hr-$22.96/hr)
