Esten Early Childhood Center is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join the KPALS Program at Esten Early Childhood Center beginning in February 2026, to fill a position due to retirement.
The KPALS program serves students with special needs in a substantially separate classroom and provides supported inclusion opportunities within the general education setting. The program is staffed with experienced paraprofessionals who work collaboratively with the teacher to support student growth and independence.
The special education team at Esten ECC collaborates and coordinates testing and intervention as needed throughout the school year.
Responsibilities:
Designing and implementing individualized educational programs aligned with students’ IEPs
Collaborating with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and general education staff
Providing instruction in communication, social-emotional, academic, and functional skills
Collecting data to monitor progress and inform instruction
Fostering inclusion opportunities for students within the school community
