Regional School District 8 is accepting applications for a Special Education teacher and case manager at RHAM High School. Applicants must hold or be eligible for Connecticut certification in Special Education. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Should be well versed in assessing how each student learns best, differentiating and modifying curriculum, and adapting teaching methods to fit unique learning profiles.
  • Have experience in administering diagnostic assessments, evaluating data, and writing comprehensive reports.
  • Assisting in the facilitation of student placement team meetings (PPT’s) and developing and implementing appropriate IEP programs and goals.
  • Candidates with remedial reading certification or a strong background in reading instruction are preferred.

Regional School District 8 (RHAM) is a high-performing, regionalized secondary school district serving approximately 1,000 students in grades seven through twelve residing in the towns of Hebron, Andover, and Marlborough.  The district consists of one middle school and one high school located on a shared campus in Hebron, CT.  RHAM High School is also a school of choice for high school age students residing in Columbia.  The district offers rich academic experiences for students through a robust program of studies, as well as a variety of sports, extracurricular activities, and clubs to provide students with a well-rounded education.
