Special Education Teacher

Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Full-Time Special Education Teacher at the Middle School/High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized instruction to students with disabilities. The Special Education Teacher will work closely with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure that students receive the best possible education.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
- Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in a variety of settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure that students with disabilities are included in the general education curriculum to the greatest extent possible
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Communicate regularly with parents and other stakeholders about student progress and needs
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
- State certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with disabilities
- Knowledge of best practices in special education
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and support staff
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
