Qualifications: NJ Teacher Handicapped Certification OR NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities AND NJ Elementary School Teacher K-5 Certification Provide small group and individualized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals Modify curriculum and assessments to meet the diverse needs of students Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and administrators Modify curriculum and assessments to meet the diverse needs of students Maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment Participation in school-based intervention teams Extra duties as assigned by the building Principal and Special Education Supervisor Salary: $57,378 - $114,391 per year. Final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications Full-time staff are eligible for Medical, Prescription, and Dental Benefits. Sick, Personal and Bereavement Days are included
All alternate route candidates (“Certificate of Eligibility) must show completion of 50 hours of pre-service training through a DOE approved CE educator program prior to being interviewed for a position. The certificate of completion must be uploaded into the AppliTrack portal in order for alternate route candidates to be considered.
