About the Role
Our Client is seeking a passionate and innovative Special Education Teacher for a self-contained classroom serving grades 3–5. In this role, you’ll provide personalized, high-quality instruction that supports differently-abled and multilingual learners. You’ll work in partnership with families, colleagues, and the community to foster academic success while promoting the District’s core values of Equity, Empowerment, and Excellence.
What You’ll Do
Deliver individualized instruction aligned with student IEPs and district curriculum.
Build strong, supportive relationships with students, families, and staff.
Create a classroom environment that celebrates diversity, inclusivity, and growth.
Abide by Rhode Island Professional Teaching Standards, district policies, and collective bargaining agreements.
Job Requirements
Valid RI Certification in Elementary Education and Elementary Mild/Moderate Special Education - (Willing to waiver if you have expereince with this population and are pending license)
ESL Certification, or willingness to complete within 3 years
Prior experience supporting differently-abled and/or multilingual learners strongly preferred.
Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
Background check (State & National BCI) required prior to start date.
