LPR International is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support a contract at Cottageville Elementary School in Colleton County School District. The ideal candidate will create and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs), provide differentiated instruction, and foster an inclusive learning environment that supports the academic, behavioral, and social growth of all students.
Location & Term:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours/week
- Day Shift: 5x7.5-hour (07:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide direct instruction tailored to the unique needs of students with multiple disabilities and learning challenges.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to support student success.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions to enhance learning.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, behavior, and IEP goals.
- Create a structured, positive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, independence, and achievement.
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina Teaching License with Multi-Categorical (Multi-Cat) Endorsement required.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs in a classroom setting preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet a wide range of student needs.
