Partners in Child Development is dedicated to nurturing the growth and development of every child to maximize their potential. Our programs include an Early Intervention Program for children ages 0-3, our Anderson School, a special education school for children ages 3-12 who have complex medical needs and Woodbridge School, our early childhood education program. For over 50 years, we have been changing the trajectory of children’s lives.

The Anderson School in Andover, MA provides a safe and nurturing special education school for students ages 3-12 years old with complex medical needs to maximize each student’s independence and growth. Our highly skilled, experienced and dedicated staff provide individualized instruction and support including educational and therapeutic programming. Our stimulating classroom setting includes specially designed classrooms to promote positive and active learning. High staff to student ratios including nurses in each classrooms enable our 11-month program to have non-traditional learners experience a traditional school experience. Family support is paramount including providing various on-site clinics and services to help our parents.

We are currently looking for a full-time Special Education Teacher to open our first middle school classroom!

The full-time Special Education Teacher in our Anderson School develops and implements curriculum and IEPs, maintains all necessary records/documentation, and providing overall direction and leadership within the classroom. School hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm and follows a school calendar, with a summer session.

Requirements:

*Current or application in process for a Massachusetts DESE Licensure (Pre-K-8) in severe disabilities is required.
*Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree with major in Special Education.
*Special Education classroom experience and/or internship(s) with students ages 3-12 who have a wide range of multiple disabilities.
*Experience implementing all parts of the IEP process.
*Excellent oral and written communication skills.
*Ability to use technology effectively.
*Ability to handle a multitude of varying and complex issues.
*Suitable background and fingerprint check.
*Mostly active - must be able to sit, bend, kneel and lift 25 pounds.
