Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students with diverse learning needs and creating an inclusive educational environment.

Duties

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Utilize behavioral therapy techniques to support students' social and emotional development
  • Create engaging lesson plans tailored to students' abilities and learning styles
  • Manage classroom dynamics and promote a positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of each student
  • Implement behavior management strategies effectively

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
  • State certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with children with special needs, including behavioral health challenges
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Familiarity with early childhood education principles
  • Experience in deaf education is a plus
  • Ability to provide care and support for toddlers in an educational setting
