• To plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.  Work is performed under the supervision of the building principal.

Our district is known for offering quality education in a small-town environment with the amenities of a larger community (our district buildings are five minutes away from Applebee’s, Culver’s, Meijer, Wal-Mart, etc.).

Our county’s cost of living is incredibly low. We are a class “B” / Division 2 school (around 130 students per grade level) with a reputation for higher standards. We have an award-winning inclusive preschool. Our school is the community “hub.” Homecoming is still a big deal in our small town, which is the county seat. Our community is incredibly supportive of our district as well. We have high-achieving athletic teams and award-winning extra-curricular programs. Despite having many students coming to us via school of choice, our constituents have passed a pair of multi-million dollar bond proposals since 2015. 

All active Corunna employees can enroll themselves and their eligible family members in the state’s first on-site Cavalier Family Health Clinic. The clinic’s goal is to provide (in almost all situations) free visits, free prescriptions, and other medical procedures for the active employee and her/his immediate family members. Direct Primary Care, or DPC, is a monthly membership that provides unlimited access to a doctor without copays, deductibles, and without billing or using insurance. Plum Health members can call, text, email, or visit their provider anytime to get primary care services like physicals, preventive care, urgent care, managing chronic diseases, and mental healthcare without worrying about hidden fees. QUALIFICATIONS: 

Valid state of Michigan Special Education Teaching Certificate, with a preference of one (or more) of the following endorsements: SV (autism), SA (cognitive impairment), SE (emotional impairment), SM (learning disabilities), and/or SC (Physical or Other Health Impairment)

Valid State of Michigan Elementary (K-5 All Subjects; K-8 All Subjects Self-Contained Classrooms; or K-8 All

Subjects) Teaching Certificate. Preference may be given to someone with one (or more) of the following

endorsements: BX, BA, DI, DX, EX, ZA or ZS, or who has secondary certification in any subject.
