Anadarko Public Schools is accepting applications for a Middle School Special Education Teacher. We are seeking a collaborative, student-focused educator committed to supporting diverse learners and ensuring academic and social-emotional growth for all students.
The Special Education Teacher will provide instructional support and services to middle school students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), Oklahoma Academic Standards, and federal/state special education regulations.
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide direct instruction and support aligned to Oklahoma Academic Standards
Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff
Maintain compliance with IDEA and Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) regulations
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Participate in professional development and team meetings
Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in Special Education (Mild/Moderate or Severe/Profound)
Must meet all Oklahoma State Department of Education certification requirements
Knowledge of IDEA, state compliance procedures, and IEP development
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
Successful completion of required criminal history background check and fingerprinting
