Special Education Teacher Assistant
The Special Education Teacher Assistant works cooperatively with the teacher to provide well-organized, smoothly functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 60 semester hours of college credits or passage of Work Keys or Para Pro Test
- Good physical health
- Clean background check
- Ability to relate to students who have special needs, physical and/or health impairment
General Job Requirements:
- Assist in carrying out the daily student routine in the classroom
- Assists individual children in need of special attention
- Assists with unloading or uploading of buses
- Guides independent study, enrichment work and remedial work set-up by the teacher
- Performs other duties assigned by the Principal or Director of Student Services
