Salary scale placement for Long-Term Substitutes is determined by educational degree completed; however, all Long-Term Substitutes are initially placed at Step 1.

POSITION GOAL:
A special education teacher shall possess the knowledge, skills, attitude, flexibility, and responsiveness to meet the specific needs of diverse students within the district in order for each student to make meaningful progress and be empowered to succeed in life and contribute to society.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.
Clearances required for employment:
Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
Pennsylvania State Criminal Record Check (Act 34)
Federal Criminal History Record Check (Act 114)
