Qualifications:     

Active PA Special Education PK-12 or PK-8 certification is required.

Bachelor's and/or Master's in Education is required.

Description:

The School District of Springfield Township is seeking candidates who possess excellent interpersonal skills, the desire to work with energetic students, and the ability to relate well within the school community.  This position will be a Special Education Teacher in Learning Support.  SDST is committed to diversity in our workplace and welcomes the opportunity to consider all candidates. 

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver standards-based instruction in all core subject areas.
• Create a positive, structured, and safe classroom environment that supports academic and social-emotional learning.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of all students.
• Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Collaborate with other grade-level/subject-area teachers, specialists, and support staff.
• Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school events.

Terms of employment:     

Full-time, contracted position to be determined in accordance with the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement.  Position to begin at the start of the 2026-2027 school year. First day is August 24th. Please note that induction will take place the week of August 17th.
