Special Education Teacher

The Sitka School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher at Keet Gooshi Heen Elementary School.

A valid Alaska Teaching Certificate and/or endorsement appropriate to the position are required.
Alaska Natives are encouraged to apply.

The Sitka School District is located in the friendly and beautiful city of Sitka, Alaska. With a population of around 8,000
the town is situated in the heart of the Tongass National Forest on the Gulf of Alaska. There is world class fishing, hunting, hiking, camping and numerous
other outdoor activities that are easily accessible. There are five Schools: Baranof Elementary School (PK-1), Keet Gooshi Heen Elementary School (2-5),
Blatchley Middle School (6-8), Sitka High School (9-12) and Pacific High School (9-12 alternative) with an average of 1050 students.
